A shame that Jade's experience was not a normal one, so that she could more accurately measure herself and give of her best.
The match tonight would always have been quite tough, even in the best of circumstances. Given the fatigue the result was entirely unsurprising.

Still, she seems to have bested the various recent injury niggles, and is back and ready to play.
The doubles may just be a lovely little bonus, and at least prolongs her stay in the environs of the WTA and allows her to feel part of the event to a greater extent.

Well done Jade, and I applaud you for taking the plunge.

As much as I wanted Jade to win last nigh (this morning) I want it for Johanna exponentially more.
Let's just get that girl up in to the top 100 where she pretty obviously belongs, and may it begin here.
