Again, I didn't see this coming:

QF:  Lewis Burton & Marcus Willis CR 538 (275+263) defeated (2) Rameez Junaid & Mateusz Kowalczyk (AUS/POL) CR 155 (76+79) by 6-3 2-6 [11-9]

33 points & 460 euros apiece in the bag! biggrin

That should see Marcus up to about 235 in the doubles rankings, with Lewis a few places behind him. We are really filling up the slots from 190-250 at the moment (DanS, Ed, Klein, Marcus, Lewis, Sean, Dave R)

Their top 250 ranking was being built on futures wins and I feared the LTA may decide not to put them forward for the Wimbledon WC. These wins at challenger level may hopefully cement their case

Brilliant to see. Raise the bar, boys. (And let the singles follow suit).

Well done to Lewis and Marcus - that's a very impressive win

Marcus: "Got the win 63 26 11-9! Buzzing to be in the semis on Friday or Saturday! @lewis4671 top drawer again! #buzzing #allez"

But what if they win the next one too? The Final is on Sunday - I'm sure Gary mentioned once* that they've got something else on then wink

(Gary can file that under 'potentially very nice problems to have')

* or maybe 3 or 4 times wink
