It will actually be the opposite just about everyone is done for a tournament but they are alts just now just while the entrance cut off is so high.

I must've missed something. No Andy at MC then?

No, Monte Carlo has apparently never featured in Andy's plans for the year nor did it last year.

Given I believe he is playing at least one other clay tournament in addition to Madrid, Rome and RG and the big points at MC ( though probably very strong field ) it doesn't exactly seem to be a favourite with him.

He did play it last year, scored 90 points, but doesn't have to defend them as they are already in his non-countables. It was never on his schedule for this year though.

Out of interest, does anyone know how doubles entry list and seeding list orders are determined when the combined rankings for two or more pairs are the same ?

For Entry

a) Team using 2 singles rankings

b) Team using 1 singles rankings

c) A team not using a protected ranking will be above one that does. If both teams have 1 player with a PR the rankings of the players not using a PR determine priority

d) Player with the highest individual ranking

e) Team that has placed the least number of tournaments

f) Team with most points

For Seeding

a) Team that has placed the least number of tournaments

b) Team with most points

c) Toss of a coin

Evo now 4 out so will be touch and go. The same with Smethurst who is 5 out of Sarasota but won't be able to sign in for qualifying.
