Ward wins 1 & 4!

Alex has only got 10 counters, I think (i.e.. this will make his 11th)

And only two from ITF tournaments (and that wasn't because he didn't enter any!)

Hope his arm feels good. Nice to get some wins on the board. And a good one today too.

Just realised this will be Alex's first Futures singles semi-final since Phnom Penh in late 2012, thanks to him not playing that many Futures last year to concentrate on Challengers & ATP qualies and not doing very well when he did play Futures.

Excellent news!     Perhaps the fact that he is again "locking horns" with players of the calibre he might also expect to encounter in Challengers is more of an incentive at the lower level...
