RE: Week 13 - Turkey F9 ($10,000) - Antalya - Belconti (Hard)

Well, Tom is at a new Career High and having a good year so far (and obviously would have been even better without those blinkin' injuries). Big fingers crossed that whatever it is has gone away. . . .

James has stalled for some time - not been much good news for a while now . ..

ANyone know what injury Jack's been carrying?

The draw has opened up a bit for James. He was set to meet the No3 seed in round 2 but if he gets through (as he should) he will face the same qualifier that he beat in the first round last week.

From what I understand, Jack has had ongoing problems with his foot/heel and has had several lengthy breaks from the game as a result of that.  Jack was the first Brit I saw when I started following tennis big time, about 4 years ago. Since then, I can remember at least two (and possible three) periods of several months where he has missed out for the same reason.

Tx Bob. So, yet another foot problem to add to my completely unsubstantiated (but doesn't mean it's wrong) theory about GB players and the large number of foot injuries . . . .

Good win for Marzi - he needs to follow that up and pick up a decent points haul

Yurtaçan's only game in the second set was one of Tom's service games!

After the 'gloom' of yesterday, nice to see a couple of easy wins.
