Looks like Naomi and Emily are having a "how few games can we drop" contest wink - both lost just 1 game in R1 and 4 in R2. Emily is likely to find things a lot harder against last week's champ Diatchenko (CH 105 in 2009), of course, while as paulisi implies, Naomi beat le Roux last week, at the same stage (QFs) in 3 sets.

Much more emphatic than last week's QF win against the same player

QF: (1) Naomi Broady WR 224 beat Madrie le Roux (RSA) WR 605 (= CH) by 1 & 2

SF: (1) Naomi Broady WR 224 v Alice Savoretti (ITA) WR 731 (CH 598 in 2012)

H2H 2-0 - Naomi won 3 & 4 in Madrid in 2010 and by the same score again in Glasgow in 2011
