RE: Week 12 - Challenger ($40,000+H) - Rimouski, Canada (Hard)

To be eligible for the Tournament Bonus Scheme, all players must:

1. Sign the LTA Player Code of Conduct (link available to the right)

2. Complete the LTA's Anti-Corruption Tutorial

3. Be eligible to represent Great Britain at either Davis Cup or Fed Cup

If eligible, then players must complete the Code of Conduct and access the Anti-Corruption Tutorial. Once complete, then players must complete the TBS Invoice Template (link available to the right) and return this to the LTA with a copy of the drawsheet.

Thanks, steven and paulisi, for answering in far better detail and precision than I'd have been able to do. :)

Given, though, it's only for those who are 'not already in receipt of a player funding agreement', I do think that the LTA should publish who exactly IS in receipt of a funding agreement (as they used to).

I just expect Ed and Dan to win this and go on to take the title.  2nd set tie-break as I type, fingers crossed.

The Aussy pair really were just serves in all honesty, even their volleys weren't that brilliant. Groth in particular missed so many easy first volleys coming to the net.

Huge well done to the boys, looking to bag a 2nd challenger title together!

CD, just wondering what these bonus payments are that you mention? Many thanks in advance

CD is talking about these bonus payments http://www.lta.org.uk/players-parents/Performance-players/Player-funding/Bonus-Scheme/

Thanks, as always Steven. Is there only Andy, Kyle and Dan E that're fully funded?

Always wondered how they all can afford it I must say.

Thanks for clarifying - I didn't have time to check (or even to realise that all I'd have needed to do was to re-read the page I linked to! doh)

Brilliant result to come home to!  Absolutely delighted to be proved wrong!

QF:  Ed Corrie & Dan Smethurst CR 547 (297+250) defeated (1) Sam Groth & Chris Guccione (AUS/AUS) CR 142 (75+67) by 5-7 7-6(2) [10-5] biggrin

*****

The boys' opponents in the semi-final seem likely to prove a much tougher proposition, even though they're lesser seeds:

SF:  Ed Corrie & Dan Smethurst CR 547 (297+250) vs (3) James Cerretani & Andreas Siljeström (USA/SWE) CR 236 (134+102)

Agreed. Watched a little bit of Cerretani and Siljeström the other day and thought they looked quite good, Cerretani in particular. But then, so do Messrs Corrie and Smethurst!
