Just to bring things up to date:

L16: (1) Samantha Murray WR 233 lost to (Q) Akvile Parazinskaite (LTU) WR 924 (= CH) by 4-6 6-2 6-2

QF: Anna Smith WR 493 v Marie Benoit (BEL) WR 507 (CH 445 in Nov)

The Lithuanian is ranked 29 in juniors (CH 189 in Jan), so no doubt a lot stronger than her senior ranking suggests. However, it looks like a bad serving day for Sam (including 14 double faults) was probably the deciding factor. Hopefully she'll be back to her old self before too long.

Sam has turned out for the doubles with Amy, so I tend to agree that she is still struggling towards her best game after her travails, rather than actively being injured per se.
They've won the first set 6-1

Anna's doubles has just started.

Managed to nip the comeback in the bud before it blossomed any farther; saving two BP's in the final game to secure the win. 6-4 6-2

She'll next play the 'Swede', who, appropriately enough, has a name that sounds like prize winning brassicas: Jacqueline Cabaj-Awad (WR939 - former top 100 junior)
