In another thread when someone moaned about MTBs, from these who posted it quickly became clear that what they really really disliked was sudden death no-ad in games.
The normal tennis game scoring system is great with the often intriguing battle to see games out.
Yes, it will tend to take a bit longer. But the real help with planning schedules, which was apparently an issue, was the introduction of MTBs ( which I can just about live with ).
But I do so wish they hadn't tampered with games and just accepted the generaly bit of additional time that deuce / ads cause.
I would propose the intriguing idea of you have to win a game by two clear points, however long it takes.
And really, overall, especially in the more serve dominated doubles, how often would you really have big multiple deuce games ? ( which can be fun when they occur ).
Next point the winner should remain in the playground.

I have to agree with the playground comment. It does not seem, to me at least, fit and proper in a professional sport to have such an arbitrary system. I simply disagree with the system because it allows too many breaks, making it difficult to really gauge the quality of either pair.
Anyone got a feel for what the pros themselves in general think and / or whether there have been any real representations to the governing bodies for a rethink ?
I am amazed that anyone even thought of introducing such a rule, let alone implementing it in professional sport. I (and everyone else I know) hate having to do it in amateur sport and even then it tends to be on the second or third deuce.
I am with the majority here. Killer Deuce is not tennis.
Doubles isn't tennis for me so I don't mind rule changes. Simple fact doubles players aren't good enough for singles. It'. Basically a different sport.
