Is he injured or has he chucked it though that's the question. With Evo the latter is more of a possibility than most. Either way it's a worry.

Could be something sudden (which would suggest something bad) or could be a niggle (maybe a return of the knee problem) and he wants to save himself for Miami qualies.

Perhaps, but when you get broken midway through the second set and immediately retire it does suggest other possibilities.
