RE: Wimbledon Ballot?

If you want to support the Brits, having a ground pass is not nearly as good as it used to be as so many of the matches you want to see are put on courts 2 and 3.

The one player that you are guaranteed not to see on Court 1 on Day 1 is Andy.

But should still be very good. Enjoy.

Yes I did think that! But then should be guaranteed to have one of the Top 4 (hopefully not Nole)

Brilliant ! well done . . . I know it's all democratic and all that but I'm glad at least one/two of the tickets went to an actual tennis fan smile

In such a situation I have been known to abandon my Court 1 seat and join the crowd on Henman Hill for a match. . .

50k for a 5yr debenture on centre court - 2500 debentures on offer.

No wonder Wimbledon is seen as elitist.

I'd guess that a debenture issue is by far the cheapest way for the AELTC to finance £100 million of capital expenditure, mainly for the Court 1 roof. In effect the purchasers of the debentures will each be paying £48,000 to watch 85 days of tennis - about £565 per day.

So everyone benefits. What's not to like?
