Nice for Bob to see wins for Josh M and Neil - two of the most obvious 'get back into the top 500' contenders.
Neil, in particular, has practically zero points to defend over the next 2 months so should be back in without any real difficulty.
Yep. Need one of those two to make a move this week as it appears Josh G will drop out on Monday next - possibly for good unless he comes out of retirement again.
Toby, bless him, has 18 counters which breaks down to 17 (!) second-round loss single pointers and one semi-final 6 pointer.
It would be nice to put at least one other counter that's higher than a 1 . . .
Stats would suggest that Toby was solid as a rock on serve today, facing just 2 BPs in 9 service games, both of which he saved. Given his performances last week as well, it appears he is running playing really well right now.
If the other matches go with rankings though, he is going to run into Tom F who is also in a rich vein of form at the moment. Should be a good match.
