Very well done to Marcus - Barry had been in great form all week, the courts clearly suited him and beating him in straight sets is very impressive
Re. doing the "double" - it's not that common but not only did Dan S do it last week, Marcus himself has done it before too - in Meshref, last September, the last time he won a singles title

Very good from Marcus :) ( and of course Lewis in the doubles )
I know there are many more 10Ks than 15Ks, but there are still a good number ( and at least we will have more GB ones later in the year), but I think it would be good to see Marcus play more 15Ks as well as some challengers. Good to see him down for a challenger in a few weeks.
By my count ( from looking at his activity on the ATP site ), his 33 tounnaments from the start of 2013 have been made up of 31 10Ks and 2 15Ks.
More specifically regarding Challengers, I appreciate that it is sometimes difficult to know when to step up, especially when there is a chance to really strengthen the ranking position prior to making the move and hence have a more comfortable base for a sustained introduction to Challengers. I have in the past argued in favour ( or at least been understanding ) of Dan Cox consolidating in futures. But I do think there is an argument that the waters should have been tested before now.
That is purely looking from a singles angle. The fact that Gary suggests that their doubles already is at Challenger level makes a move to more 15Ks and Challengers for both seem even more appropriate.
I certainly agree that Marcus should be looking to at least break into the 200s by year end, and I actually thought that WR 250 had been mentioned before, and not just in relation to Wimbledon.
LTA interview with Lewis and Marcus (why they set it up with the cleaner making that din in the background, I really don't know) - their sponsor will be happy with the last bit http://bit.ly/PDvoUq

Sam Barry thanks Adidas for cheering him up after a 'tough loss' as a nice parcel of goodies arrives at a timely moment.
And, although not strictly relevant, congrats to the other irishman Louk Sorenson who's just won the 15k out in China.
Tennis Ireland have no posts about this at all (i,e, his semis win or good luck or anything). (Tons about Barry)
Are Louk and Irish tennis completely 'estranged'?
Even so, wouldn't a federation post about their countryman's wins whatever? (I know Louk isn't the most 'irish' of all the irish players but as long as that's his country of choice, surely that counts). It's hardly as though Tennis Ireland are spoilt for choice.
