Well if Marcus wins another singles title today it puts another complexion on it !
Its quite tough to have serious goals in both singles & doubles at the same time
The dilemma is that we are futures level in singles but challenger level in doubles , but I think that the step up to challengers in singles will improve marcus's performance and he will raise his level .
I think he has 6 gears and at the moment we are stuck in 3rd

Well, A1, I don't think a win here or not should make any difference to your plans.
Plans are big picture - one win more or less in a 10k is hardly fundamental. You've really no idea if Marcus is challenger level or not - he's never tried it. (Ranking is based on what he's tried i.e. basically 10ks). And as to waiting for the 'right moment' when confidence is high - well that arguably could have been last autumn when he won in Israel, or now, or whenever. I know that it;d be nice if his ranking was a littlle higher so he made got a ranking in the qs or made the MD. But he could well do that anyway (see Gabb), depends on the tournament. And there comes a time when you've got to just suck it and see.
