Oh dear, Steven, I was waiting on the update on their matches won ratio to come from Gary. I am so underwhelmed given many of the opponents. Sorry.

But, given how it led to your second paragraph, with which I accord, I'll let you off :)

Good looking win today. I just think they need to move on to more regular tests.

Agree that challengers are now over due but we needed to max out on future points and build our confidence prior to stepping up to a higher level .

Dave & Sean have a great record  in futures but appear to have hit the wall in challengers and i want to make sure that we are ready prior to stepping up ! 

Does anyone have an insight into what went wrong and why Sean & Dave hit the wall at around 160s ? 

10 doubles titles in last 6 months of competing is pretty impressive But similar to Sean & Dave naturally I don't want the same thing to happen to Marcus & Lewis 

So What went wrong ? 

Was it ? 

1) daves singles shedule got in way of Doubs campaign 

2) Coaching 

3) funding 

4) other reasons

Marcus had to save 3 break points in a long first game - but did so successfully - 1-0*

Only happy to oblige if you promise not to get TOO carried away with all this doubles stuff - get those lads get their singles play sorted out and their rankings up smile

 

NB re the future, has Marcus had a chat with Dave Rice? I'd have thought it would be very useful, for both of them, to discuss how to juggle singles and doubles, what's worked and what hasn't worked, where they're both coming from etc. etc.
