Week 11 - Great Britain F8 ($10,000) - Tipton (Hard)

The draw is finally out on LTA site

Rice, Willis, Tom F, Broady, Milton, Bambo, JWH, George C, Cam, Rob C and Toby should be in the main draw.

Jathan, Harry, Sam Hutt and Peter Ashley look like they have made the main draw either directly or via wildcards.

Qualis don't look that strong and George Morgan should get through.

Not quite sure where to make this comment, and apologies if it has already been mentioned.

the cut off for  this weeks challenger in Kyoto was 426, and they didn't fill the qualies draw.  I'm guessing it is expensive for European players to travel to and there is plenty of tennis going on at home for the Americans.

Also off topic, but is there any news re. Dan Evans and his injured knee?

Enjoy Sunday!

Steve

Re Dan, he tweeted from a flight to Dallas yesterday which suggests he will be playing the Irvine Challenger this week.

I've seen Joe Woolley play, he has a decent game. Still a junior, just needs to control his emotions.

Good stuff so far, and I see that Dersan Endars is still around to add to the fun.

A grand total of 9 pairs in the doubles draw !!

I don't quite know what to make of that, but I would really have thought many more guys would have had a go.

I wonder if Liam has withdrawn as he normally plays doubles.
Harry seems to have given up doubles, Jathan said he wasn't planning to play doubles this week.

Anyone know why Tom F never plays doubles anymore? - he has a pedigree.

As for the FQR looking good for GB players - Luke and Joe are through, George should make it. We have an all GB clash and Keelan and David could make it a good day.

Hoping Harry and Jathan get decent first round draws for a change.
