Ed goes an early break up in the 3rd but Dan has a break back point ... which Ed saves to lead 2-6 7-6(5) 2-0*

Dan is now 4/21 on break points, Ed 3/10.

Looks like a classic case of Dan, after so much tennis, and so many victories in a row - suddenly hitting the wall at a set and a break up. A high quality problem to be having! Ed might be playing a blinder, but you have to imagine players that aren't used to a stream of matches, week in week out, having the occasional moment of fatigue.

I write the above at *1-3 0-40. But Dan held, so it's it's not all over, but I'd be staggered if he pull this one around from here.

Dan has saved another 8 break points since going a break down in the 3rd ... at least one of them in the last game, which he holds.

Ed up 2-6 7-6(5) *4-3
