Not wamting to be argumentative ( moi ? :) ), but surely we at least look at more of an overview and taking IW and Miami together and Andy's defense of 1180 points that draw is a problem.
Actually, maybe particularly so because a really good tournament here could get him into the top 4 seeds for Miami, thus eliminating the chances of such a draw there.
I agree with your first point but won't Miami seedings be based on the current rankings (in the sense that seedings for week N are usually based on the rankings at the start of week N - 1 even if updated rankings come out before the draw is made)

I know what you mean generally, but I did understand that IW and Miami with their very late starts were different, certainly for the MD seeds.
And they have used this Monday's rankings for IW, eg. Andy being seeded above JMDP and Dimitov up to no 15 seed.
Ah, ok - I should have studied the pdf of the IW draw more carefully! I do think that's a better way to do it, I'd just (wrongly, no doubt) remembered the opposite being the case in the past.

Hmm. Let us hope that Rosol doesn't play another blinder, like when he knocked Rafa out Wimbledon. He doesn't seem to have played like that since - here's hoping his next flash of brilliance doesn't happen here.
The first 20 points all went with serve (3 love holds for Andy, 2 for Rosol) before Any took Rosol to deuce only for the Czech to get the first break in the next game. Andy broke back immediately only for Rosol to rebreak and serve for the set ... 30-30

Andy has always been a bit vulnerable to a ball-basher having a good day. Rosol may be hit-and-miss but unfortunately for Andy he is hitting more than missing.
