It is just about possible for Andy to get back to number 4 prior to Indian Wells but his fate is not in his own hands.
To have any chance he must win the tournament. If he does that he will definitely overtake Berdych. He will also go ahead of Del Potro unless the Argentine wins Dubai (where Federer, Djokovic and Berdych are also playing). However he can only get ahead of Ferrer if the later loses before the SF in Acapulco.
After what Andujar did on Saturday? Admittedly, that was on clay, but to be honest, I have my fears, and can't think of a worse first-round draw. If he gets through that, agree (famous last words) that the next two rounds look OK.

Andujar is very much a clay court specialist. Of his 1,160 points 840 have come on the dirt.
I woke up near the beginning of the 2nd set, Andy having lost the first 3 - 6.. Groaned when I saw the score but from then on it was pretty much a one way ticket with Andy upping his game and Andujar struggling with his . Can't recall the final scores, no doubt some one will post them, eventually

I watched it from the start. First five games were horrendous, half the time he couldn't get in the point and the other half he was spraying errors all over the place. About three inches away from being bageled. Managed to get on the board and improved markedly. Won six games in a row from 0-1* down in the second and then five games in a row from *1-2 down in the third. Some blistering groundstrokes from both wings.
Confident about Simon, although he's a player I quite like to watch play. However, the potential semi-final is very interesting
if Andy makes it through. I would be very worried by Gulbis, combined with any potential fatigue. Gulbis has had a good start to the year, so it would be a tough tie!
I'm still watching last night's match on tennistv, but the cleaner is here and I can't hear the commentary above the noise of the vacuum cleaner. Not that missing the commentary is a big deal but I do like to hear the line calls and the umpire.
That was a very strange umpire decision in the first set: on BP in his favour, Andy hit a ball on the line and Sousa hit the return out. There was an apparent out call on Andy's shot, and he called to challenge - but the call hadn't come from the linesman. Somehow or other the decision was to give the point to Sousa! At the very least the point should have been replayed, surely. Sousa went on to hold that game too.
Should be able to get past Simon (although given his form since his return I'm not massively confident about any match right now) but I can't really see him beating Gulbis.
