About time he won a match - that ranking is slipping very quickly.

brydan seems to be on a downward slope since he switched to GB

He certainly seems to be on his way to becoming a true Brit! (*) When he switched, his singles ranking was 15 places higher than his doubles ranking - 9 months later, his doubles ranking is 252 places higher than his singles ranking. no

- his singles ranking has dropped 176 from 241 to 417
- his doubles ranking has risen 91 from 256 to 165

(*) Of course, nowadays that's unfair to the rest of the Brits, a lot of whom have been making very good progress in singles over the last couple of years

A close one, but another pretty dire result in the end:

L16: (5) Brydan Klein WR 405 lost to Jacob Grills (AUS) WR 770 (CH 746 in Feb) by 4-6 7-5 7-5

It wasn't reported here (wasn't really stop the press stuff!) but Brydan lost his first round dubs match - so the singles outweighed the dubs this week (just). Not really much of an excuse to pop the champagne though. . . cry

I don't follow the bloke at all but would be interesting to know what's going on in his world - the tennis has been pretty bleak.

Since he's Australian, has possibly not the most attractive personality, and hasn't set foot in the UK for 8 months, I can't quite see why any poster on the British Tennis message board could give a sh*t.

Theis forum would like to point out, especially to all Australians, that the above post is purely a personal one from the poster concerned, and all comments should be directed to him at xxxxxxrat@yyy.com :)

Im no Ratty apoligist but I don't think Ratty was being disparaging about all Aussies. He stated that Brydan was an Aussie and that his personality can mean people form a negative opinion of him.  Nowhere does he indicate that he believes they two are linked.

This one of the rare occasions where I would like to completely associate myself with the comments of Ratty. I do actually follow the progress of Klein but only because I always hope that he loses whenever he steps onto a tennis court.
