Another week and anther good win for Julian Cash, it really seems like something clicks when he plays adult events.
It looks like he was totally dominant on serve, he saved two break points in the first game of the match and then won his remaining 14 service games without being taken to duece. He is fairly tall for his age and when I watched him last year he had a decent serve but nothing to indicate that he should be serving people off court so it is very impressive to hold so comfortably time and again.
I got a third hand report on his match against Broady last week. Apparently after his big win against Bloomers and a doubles match later that day he just didn't mentally recover in time in time for the second round and was doing was lots of silly things like trying drop shots off the second or third shot of the rallies and trying to hit aces on second serves.
Tough loss for Jonny but at least he put up a good fight against a decent opponent and got through a long match. He deserves a soft draw or two in the next couple of weeks.
Not a great day for the Brits overall (certainly in terms of just wins and losses) - even worse if Ymer's somewhat cryptic "Never ever give up" tweet half an hour ago implies he won a close match against Neil - I fear it does but hope it doesn't!
Edit: Ymer's tweet did mean that - a very close match
However, having been broken to go 4-5* down in the 3rd, Liam has just won 3 games in a row to see off Rosenzweig

(#) Funnily enough, after taking out the Swedish no. 4 today, Julian gets the Swedish no. 3 tomorrow. That seems amazing but the current Swedish no. 1 is their only player in the ATP singles top 500 and even he is only just inside the top 400!
(*) H2H1-1 - Ashley won in 3 sets in the Edinburgh QFs last year, Luke 3 & 3 in last week's QFs
