Dave lost the first set 6-3 and it's now 2-2

James M getting short shrift from Serra which is no real surprise, 6-1 0-1 to Florent

Coco keeps popping down those aces - everytime Dave gets close Rudy puts up a big serve.

At least Dave's not playing like a pudding this week....

Rice mullered again. Not looking good for Marzi, that match looks like it's going down the pan.

If he has had injury problems it might explain his not playing any singles recently.

Some interesting combinations in the doubles:

R1:  Jamie Delgado & Paul Hanley (AUS) CR 194 (112+82) vs (3) Dustin Brown & Austin Krajicek (GER/USA) CR 171 (87+84)
R1:  Marc Gicquel & Dominik Meffert (FRA/GER) CR 316 (207+109) vs Dan Evans & David Rice CR 970 (769+201)
R1:  Kenny de Schepper & Andreas Siljeström (FRA/SWE) UNR (because KdS currently has no doubles ranking; Siljeström = 101) vs (2) Ken Skupski & Neal Skupski CR 142 (66+76)

Skupski brothers could play Evo and Rice in the QF. Jamie Delgado is also in the same half.

Evo plays his first round tomorrow night. He is 7th match on centre court (6th match not before 6PM local time / 5PM GMT) and could feasibly start any time between 7:30PM and 10PM or even later. Neal and Ken play on court during the afternoon following another doubles match that starts at 2PM local time.

Seans career as a singles player is over,if he goes to play chally dubs he might sign in

and play qualies more for the fact that hes there. He definitely will not be travelling the country playing futures,

All or most of his training is doubles based and that is where is career is focused.

Thanks for that. Probably makes sense although slightly unusual for a player to quit singles completely at his age when he still playing a mix of challengers and futures as a doubles player.
