Good to see that Marcus in particular seems to be getting into gear this week.

Well, Marcus' tweet to someone saying something similar was:

thanks! Not really playing well still. just got a kinder draw! #winning

Just being humble (smile) or genuine ? Or who cares . . . there's a lot of luck, but surprising how often you make you own luck, so whatever . . .

I do like how Marcus comes across. I still remember that classic match report he did on his own match, which had comedy, humility and much else :)

Marcus was a bit out in his tweet with the score in that second set, if the ITF live scoreboard is to be believed! wink

*****

Final:  (1) Lewis Burton & Marcus Willis CR 553 (277+276) vs (3) Chung Hyeon & Nam Ji Sung (KOR/KOR) CR 882 (560+322)

A chance for revenge:  the boys lost to the Korean pair in three last week.

 6 tournis in 2014 - 6 finals & 2 Titles P 23 won 20 lost 3

A win tomorrow would give the boys a record quarter with a month to go !

Marcus makes his first Futures singles final since September - this is becoming a very good week

FINAL: (2) Marcus Willis WR 388 v Chung Hyeon (KOR) WR 477 (= CH)

H2H 1-0 - Chung was the THA F1 winner whom Marcus beat 5-7 6-3 6-4 in R1 of THA F2 last week.

The pair have won the first set of their doubles final 6-3. Now 4-4 in the second. As one of them (Marcus I think) pointed out, they have a tendency to win the first, squander the second and end up in MTB shoot-out, so 'allez les gars' - two sets would be nice :)

And the lads win their doubles final in two sets, just as 'requested' !!!

6-3 7-5 to the Brits.

Well done and good luck to Marcus tomorrow.

One down - one to go.

Any ideas on the boys schedule for the next few weeks?

Marcus made a late withdrawal from Preston which is next week but is still down for Tipton the following week however Lewis isn't.

Not really sure what is happening as neither are entered for anything the week after Tipton either.

Perhaps Gary has some information regarding where next...

Congrats to the boys for making it all the way this week as well, third time lucky in Thailand for the title.

Fingers crossed Marcus can beat Chung however I think it will be very close again! The main thing is that Willis is winning again (because I have him at around 225 in my 2014 prediction haha!!)
