RE: Week 8 - ITF ($25K) - Nottingham, UK Hard

Amy breaks at the start of the 3rd.

0-1*

Momentum breaker maybe, but then breaks are now outdoing holds 10-9, so hopefully more to come in Tara's favour.

Pretty disappointing day for our girls.

Emily needs one more win to get a ranking now along with 5 other girls. I would hope the LTA would give some of them a MD WC for Preston.

You're the second person today who has got me worried that my best 16 stats are wrong LOL

I'm not well today so apologies if I have missed something really obvious (not that I don't miss obvious things when I'm healthy too! wink) but I think she needs 2 - no points before today and even if you meant another win here, 25K QFs are only worth 9 points these days unless the player concerned is a qualifier and has got an extra point for that.

I agree that 5 other girls need one more counting score - Jasmine Asghar, Georgia Craven, Jazzamay Drew, Izzy Wallace (who got her 2nd score from her WC here) and Tiffany William.

Apologies - I thought Emily had another scorer and forgot about the points change for 25K.

Very well done indeed Miss Arbuthnott!

It seems Jade (& partner) may have given a walkover in the doubles, so it may be that she called it off and was hampered by the stomach injury today.
I saw it noted that she'd served an awful lot of DF, and that would make sense.
Wait and see what transpires from her camp I suppose.

Trying to find more positives today, looking at other doubles (still lots of action going on at gone 20:00)
Lucy went out 0 & 5
Freya & Izzy took the first set off Tara & partner (strange day for Tara) 6-1 currently in a second set tie-break.
Naomi & partner are on serve against Manisha & Jess Ren 4-3*
Laura D & Jess S got a W/o - Moratelli obviously didn't like the beating Emily gave her!

Steven, just seen your message - my bad ! In fact, I blame you (obviously!!) - your page is too good :) I saw yesterday that Izzy was marked with two scorers and didn't realise you'd already added on the Nottingham one - yes, it does say so, but I didn't read it properly :(

So apologies again . . .

Decent scores from Manisha and Freya. Obviously a real corker from Emily. Tara scraped by. Didn't really expect jade to win as she's been barely playing these last few weeks and not serving at all, with the stomach muscle thing. Had hoped Naomi might do better. and Katy too possibly. All in all, not brilliant . ..
