Either I was right about the draw being pretty awful after all or the Brits are having a really dire day today (most likely the latter, unfortunately) - still, at least Jade has taken her match into a 3rd set (even if she is already *0-3) down in it and Tara has quickly recovered from that bad start.

Of course, Tara was the only Brit who outranked her opponent and Emily has already won but I was hoping for 3 wins - might still happen of course, if Jade can turn things around.

Very strange goings on in Nottingham, mostly of the bad variety...

But again, massive congrats to Emily, and really very encouraging again from Freya.

Now Tara, C'MON !

Tara got the break back and has had break points to go 3-1* up in the 2nd but Amy has saved them so far.

After a game of a multitude of deuces and a multitude of game points for Amy, and one break / set point for Tara, Amy eventually holds. Hopefully Tara can refocus and serve out the set.

2-6 *5-3

After that that evidently quick break back by Amy ( I missed it after the previous game marathon ), Tara takes her second set point of the game and third of the set.

2-6 6-4
