In the dubs QF, Katie and partner have 'won' and beaten the number 1 seeds by walkover.

katie b makes her second pro final

she won in the doubles SF with fang yin xun of china
they won from a set down: 4-6 6-3 [10-7]

final opposition will either be the chinese #4 seeds, or japanese #2 seeds

Good result, but i'd much prefer Katie to be picking up points in the singles.

Just my view but it doesn't bother me in the slightest really whether katie gets singles' points here or not.

She's said she's not concentrating on seniors as such until after Wimbledon (sure she'd still like to win the matches, of course, but it's not part of her real programme).

And last September or so, Katy D (a year older) had barely a point, no wins, and came out and hit the ground running. I'm confident katie B will do the same (maybe not the exact same time frame of course). Her doubles wins here are all good teaching material, as are are her singles wins and losses. Her senior career only really matters when she's made the move up for good.

Alas one step too far today, so no title.

F: Katie BOULTER/Fang Ying XUN (CHN/GBR) lost to Xinyun HAN/Kai-Lin ZHANG (CHN/CHN) [4] 3-6 0-6
