Assuming that the Turks put out the same team as today (I'm amazed they haven't put their top players in the doubles rubber today given that the tie is 1-1), we should have:
Johanna Konta WR 145 v Pemra Ozgen (TUR) WR 254 (CH 207 last May) Heather Watson WR 38 v Cagla Buyukakcay (TUR) WR 117 (= CH) * Jocelyn Rae/Anna Smith CR 192 (96+96) v Basak Eraydin/Ipek Soylu (TUR) CR 729 (461+268)
* H2H 1-0 - Heather won 6-2 6-7(7) 6-2 in Shrewsbury in 2010

Scrap that - livescores changed mid-match to show Buyukakcay now playing with Soylu, replacing original nomination Eraydin.

Well that was very impressive watching it live.
Jo was a different player from practice, best play since last summer I'd say. There was a nice group of her family cheering on from the stands.
Hev played well, not her absolute best, but Vogt played very well making for a very high quality match.
Anna/Joss showed what having a specialist doubles pairing can give you, just a very high quality performance from start to finish. Anna showing no nerves on debut.
Looking good!
The comprehensive nature won't matter competitively if it effectively just comes down to a shootout vs Ukraine if they both win their second ties. But very good for confidence going forward.
What happened in the E.Svitolina 26 v C.Buyukakcay 117 match? Did Cagla play her socks off or was Elina way off form? If Cagla is playing much better than her ranking or Elina much worse it could have a significant affect on our progress.
Great start and the scheduling looks like it will work out well; start off with the weakest opposition and then ramp up each day until Saturday (feeling optimistic!).
Jo broken. She's just too flimsy between the ears in this type of environment to produce the tennis we all know she has in her. Shame. Hope she can somehow turn this around
