Hev 4-1 up after a struggle in her second service game and then a relatively easy break and hold.

Didn't really have to do much at all except be solid.
Pleasantly sedate viewing so far for a Hev match.

One trivial thing though, I see no K-Swiss branding on Heather's clothing. Indeed, the back of her top looks to have a Prince P in the meshing.
Has she changed sponsors? She's still on the K-Swiss athletes page.

Heather has now secured a double break in the second set.
It's a bit sad to see Eleni in so reduced a capacity - though the backhand still sparkles occasionally with it's former glory - but will certainly take it today to help Hev with any doubts over fatigue after last weeks heroics (heroine-ics?).

Quite a few errors in that game, a DF and a missed easy put away coming to the net, and Heather handed one of the breaks back.

The brief lapses were of no consequence today and Heather was hardly troubled in truth.
Got off court pretty swiftly for best recovery.

She will next play her doubles partner for the week Anna Tatishvili, which could be tricky if the Georgian finds her better, more mercurial, form.

Well done though Heather. Even at half pace she looks class at this level.

Nice comfortable win for Hev. She looked in really good form at Fed Cup and I think she will at least make the final here unless tiredness becomes a problem.
