Yet another crap draw for Jonny M - with a different partner! Likewise for Rosco, though good to see him back on the main tour, even if he's not in harness with Colin. Presumably the WC is courtesy of his Dutch partner.
R1: (3) Daniel Nestor & Nenad Zimonjic (CAN/SRB) CR 27 (15+12) vs Jonny Marray & Dmitry Tursunov (RUS) CR 155 (43+112) R1: Michaël Llodra & Nicolas Mahut (FRA/FRA) CR 40 (15+25) vs (WC) Ross Hutchins & Jesse Huta Galung (NED) CR 649 (570+79)
The winners of those two matches play one another in the QF.
Note to Mad: Further proof, as if it were needed, of the unreliability of the ATP's guidance on pronunciation: it suggests that Llodra's surname is pronounced "low-DRA", i.e. with the stress on the second syllable. 1) There is absolutely no way that the letter "o" in French would be pronounced in the same way as the word "low" in British English, more like the "o" in "borrow", i.e. it is much more open, to use a technical term. Only a Yank would instinctively do it the ATP way. 2) Not sure how to explain this one. The capital letters are supposed to indicate the syllable to be stressed. In French, however, as a general rule, all syllables are stressed equally.

Agree with SC - the ATP's pronunciation guide seems to be a guide to "how to pronounce names like an American with no interest in finding out the correct pronunciation would pronounce them"

Yes it is. I am glad to see that Stircrazy also makes the occasional error with thread titles. It makes me feel less bad about all of my mistakes that she ends up correcting.
