Yes !

Maybe not the greatest of play. But impressive in so many other ways - dealing with the weather and organisational issues, tiredness, serving woes and he keeps battling on...

He has indeed shown a lot of character here.

I've never been aware of Oli having particular DF problems such as he has shown lately ?

So, hopefully just a temporary issue, though he's not really going to have much time to work on his serve before the next futures.

Yes he has had a few issues in certain matches I've "watched" on livescores over the last couple of years, where the DF count is far too high, and they come in big runs. But there have been other matches, the vast majority, where the stats look fine. When I've seen him play, the serve looks pretty decent, although he doesnt hit as many unreturnable serves as one might expect, given his height. Perhaps fatigue starting to kick in.

Double faults are often about tiredness - if you can't push with your legs, your serve is shot. I reckon he's just a bit done in . . .

The arm seems to be doing all the work on his serve today.

At 30-30, Oli plays a fantastic defensive lob to turn the rally into his favour and gets well on top of the point, only to miss a drop shot after a very short mis-hit from Vovk. Ends up sitting down looking defeated.

Vovk holds for 5-3*. Think that could well be that.

Not getting the rub of the green with these line calls at all. Several questionable ones today that have gone against him.

3MPs to Vovk.

I'm not surprised. 6 sets in a day on this appallingly slow court.

Yeah he was hugely disadvantaged but good effort nonetheless
