Have my suspicions that Kyle is rapidly closing in on another personal milestone, but as the ATP rankings won't let me check historical data at the moment, I can't be sure. So I will keep quiet on that one for now to avoid looking stupid (again)
Can anyone guess what he's talking about before he does the reveal? (though it will only happen immediately if Kyle beats Kamke)
Clue: banter fodder
There is one person who may be able to guess as I mentioned this potential milestone to him in Croatia last year. That person is Kyle's dad who is a reader of this forum.
I already did tend to think Kyle had a very good all court game. It was my understanding that it was rather more about such as learning to compete at seniors in a tough rallying environment that had him focussed on clay so much last year than that he was some sort of clay expert.
My comment was definitely tongue in cheek but I agree that Kyle already has a good all court game and that it would be wrong to assume that simply because he has had good success on clay that he cannot play well on any other surface. Too often I think we can write off someone's chances based on the surface alone and whilst it is certainly a factor, as spectators it is very easy to give it too much significance and for me at least (to end on another tongue in cheek moment) that has been my downfall in a number of pickem competitions

Could go as high as WR 276 (obviously would be higher if he gets anything in Marseille) but there are several players in challengers this week that could back ahead of him.
I'll guess at taking out Beechy's career high of 264. (I'm not Kyle's dad btw...)
Congrats, Josh. I am now at liberty to confirm that you are correct. In fact, it has apparently been used as a motivating factor with Kyle for some time and was a target set for him last year. Sadly illness got in the way and he missed the last three months of the year.
But even Greg was talking about "overtaking Beechy" after today's match in Marseille. It didn't happen today, but it is only a matter of time.
