Great win for Ed. If he can get past Panfil as well, he will certainly have earned his 5 points for qualifying.

And Panfil only managed to scrape past Martin in a third-set TB so fingers crossed . . .

Panfil may be q1, but certainly in ranking terms there isn't much between them.

Nice and neat - Ed proves his nay-sayers wrong and comes through in two sets. :)

GSM Ed Corrie. He breaks again at 5-2* to take the match. 7-5 6-2 biggrin Well done Ed!

Its on the new challenger streaming site so I think the match should be archived here

Thanks for that new stream link DWH - great stuff. Just had a coffee break and watched a 20 min edited version !

Ed thoroughly deserved is - better court coverage, excellent ball placement, and served well too. Panfil was too far back and 'lazy' (does he normally play on clay?).

Ed's draw is arguably the worst he could have had! cry

L32:  (Q) Ed Corrie WR 324 vs (5) Marco Cecchinato (ITA) WR 168 (CH 159 last October)
