Does this mean (as per previous speculation) she gets a ranking now?

It's been great lately to see all these young Brits getting to the latter stages of events at different levels in recent weeks. For someone who grew up in the mid 80s when Jo Durie or Jeremy Bates losing early in an event meant no-one to root for for the next week or so (and back then results from overseas futures and challengers weren't easily accessible either) this makes such a refreshing and welcome change.

To answer Priesty's question - yes, it will take her straight back onto the rankings on Monday week ... and even into the top 1000.

Tremendous and great to have come through a match like that. To have lost it would no doubt have been very hard to take.

Great for her that she will be back in the rankings and instantly GB no 20 ( what that says about GB's lack of depth on the women's side is probably not for now ). She will be going very much higher ( stay healthy ! )

Great start to the year for our young hopes Kyle, Oli, Eleanor and of course Heather.
