My excuse for the spelling error is that I would never normally use the Indian spelling. I still call the city Calcutta but for the purpose of this site I always use whatever name the ATP/ITF do.

L32: Dan Cox WR 247 v (WC) Sanam Singh (IND) WR 388 (CH 293 in 2012)

H2H 2-1 - Dan won in 3 sets in Costa Mesa in 2011 only to get double bagelled by Singh the following week - there must have been a reason for that but I can't remember what it was. He then beat him in straight sets in Antalya in 2012.

Good win for Josh and not one I was really expecting

Dan is due to play his R1 match at 04.30 GMT, with Josh's FQR match 2nd up on a different court.

Dan had a disastrous start against Singh, losing the 1st set 6-1. He was starting down the barrel at 4-5* down in the 2nd set but managed to break Singh when he served for the match then held and broke again to take the 2nd set 7-5!
