We are now up to 31 AMFF'ers (including a couple who live in Austria).
Bob - I take your point about the difficulty of deciding without knowing ticket prices. I guess if your group could get into one hotel then sharing taxis to and fro would be a good option. If all you can do is give me a ball park of 5-15 (for example) that'd help. You could of course set up your own 'group' booking but I've no idea how the LTA would deal with that as you're based in Spain rather than the UK.
I'll post here as soon as I have a reply ref ticket prices.
Thanks for the info.
I am going to give you a ballpark figure of 1 (one) - and I'll give you two guesses as to who that will be. When I first mentioned the idea to people here, there were about 10-12 people interested. Now we have started looking at costings, this is down to about 4. Knowing my friends as I do, I would lay pretty good odds that when the time comes to put their hands in their pockets, the numbers will dwindle even further and yours truly will be travelling alone.
Please put me down as a definite. I will make my own travel and accommodation arrangements and just need tickets. If for any reason I can't make it at the last minute, I will cover the cost of the tickets anyway.
Any others from here can make their own arrangements.
Hi Bob. I'll add your 1 to our group (making us 32 so far).
For you, your Spanish friends and anyone else who is planning to travel to Italy independently to watch this tie (i.e. wishing to buy their tickets separately too and not sit with a 'group' such as the AMFF, Topspin or BATS) I've just posted the following on our forum after receiving an email from the LTA.
UPDATE FROM THE LTA 1. 3-day tickets for the DC tie will be approx £100.00 payable in sterling (exact £ tbc). 2. 'group' seats will be behind the team bench. 3. Demand for tickets has been huge, the LTA want to ensure long-standing 'groups' get all the seats they want. 4. So, final numbers for the AMFF block booking must be given by 5pm this Thursday 27th February. 5. We will not be able to add to that number after that date.
Once I have an exact price for the tickets I'll email everyone with the payment details. If the price is higher than you expected and you wish to drop out please post on the the other thread. If you cancel after your ticket(s) have been paid for we will probably not be able to give a refund.
Would you add me to your list please, daisy, for one three day ticket. Do I PM you?
Incidentally, easiest, cheapest ride from the airport is a 4 euro ticket on the airport bus to downtown Piazza Plebiscito, which is the last of two stops (the first being Piazza Garibaldi/Stazione Centrale). Then a nice, ten minute stroll along the sea front to Tennis Club Napoli. Buses/trains are cheap in Naples. Naive English tourists are likely to get ripped off by Neapolitan taxi drivers.
A ticket for the 3days of tennis will be around £100.
People on the AMFF forum are paying between £400-£500 to book flights/hotels themselves. Traveleads, nominated agent from the LTA, did flight/hotel package for £550 approx but they've closed their booking facility.
So if you wish to go you'll need to be quick to get a decent deal flying to Napoli and finding a reasonably priced hote.
Tickets can be bought via our forum OR direct from the LTA when they go on public sale. However, they have fewer tickets than normal so booking with a group might be a better guarantee of getting a tennis ticket.

Thank you Eddie. No need to PM. As soon as I have the actual ticket price from the LTA I'll need you to PM me with your email address so I can ask you for some money.
The DEADLINE to confirm you are coming with us to DC in Italy, is Thursday night 23.59 hrs.
After that it'll be assumed you wish to come and are willing to pay for your ticket
I've added Eddie to our list but not yet included Louie because I need that person to confirm for definite that they want ticket(s).
Please note - after allocating tickets to groups, player family/friends and necessary officials the LTA will release tickets for general sale. They don't have as many as usual and are trying to get more from the Italian hosts. So, please be sure that you wish to come because if, after the Thursday deadline, you subsequently fail to pay for your ticket you might be denying another tennis fan the chance to go to watch the tie.
Thanks.
The LTA have posted this message on their Davis Cup page:-
Many thanks for your interest in Davis Cup tickets for the ITA vs GB tie. Unfortunately the LTAs allocation has now been exhausted. Those who registered an interest but were unsuccessful in their application will be contacted should any more tickets become available.
Hi Eddie - I've PM'd you in this forum. When you reply could you include your email addy please?
