RE: Week 6 - Great Britain F4 ($10,000) - Wirral (Hard)

The unranked Poles (semi-)finally meet their match & leave us with quite a tasty final in prospect:

SF:  (2) Ed Corrie & Dan Smethurst CR 652 (370+285) defeated Piotr Lomacki & Giorgio Portaluri (POL/ITA) UNR by 1 & 2

****

Final:  (3) Luke Bambridge & Ross Hutchins CR 1058 (488+570) vs (2) Ed Corrie & Dan Smethurst CR 652 (370+285)

Pity it's only 18 measly points in the bag if Ross & Bambo lift the title. cry

That result certainly suggests that an injury problem was not a likely cause of Ed's heavy defeat in the singles.

Dan cruises to the first set with another easy hold. He only lost 3 points on serve in 4 games in that set.

Meawhile, Tom has broken again and will serve for the set at *5-4

Didn't see much of Tom on Tuesday, so would be nice to get a proper look at his game tomorrow.

I hope George puts up more of a fight in the second set.

Early indications suggest that your first wish is more likely to come true than your second.

Tom breaks in the first game of set 2 to lead *1-0

Meanwhile Dan moves swiftly into a 2-0* lead.
