RE: Week 6 - Great Britain F4 ($10,000) - Wirral (Hard)

Ed injured ? Or just pushing the ball back from two metres behind the line as he does sometimes and Tom stepping up?

6-0 1-0 to Tom so far

Luke's certainly been living dangerously - against Harry and here again v Nicolas. But he had a rough time with draws and close matches for a fair bit of last year so it's great to see him scrape out a few victories - bravo !

I went to Wirral yesterday (haven't had time to do a report) and Tom was absolutely awesome against Marzi. By far and away the best I have ever seen him play. Serve was working like a dream he was returning decent first serves as if they were nothing and playing with power and precision in the rallies. Based on that I though he had a chance today but I wasn't expecting this.

Ed finally gets off the mark but Tom still leads 6-0 *3-1

That's great to hear. i.e. on the face of it, nothing wrong with Ed and simply Tom taking control and playing far higher than his ranking.

NB George will now go up into the 720s, I make it, and very close to the top 25.

and as Dan S and George kick off, maybe dan is feeling a tad nervous on this day of 'upsets'????

Could be looking at a Bambridge/Farquharson semi-final. Great opportunity for both of them. Think both made the one final in 2013, with both losing? Someone feel free to correct me on that as going entirely from memory.

Tom made two finals (Manchester and Ilkley). The way he played yesterday I would expect him to beat Bambo.

And he beat him easily last autumn (though Luke may be progressing fast, given his age)

 Close enough. I'll take that.

Ed's defeat means that "Fancy" Dan is the only seed left in the draw... disbelief
