RE: Week 6 - ATP 250 - Zagreb (Hard)

I very much doubt that a potential ( but presumably far from clear LL spot ) would have much to do with Evo's "lacklustre performance.

I would think though that it is potentially worth hanging about. Surely he can keep himself amused ( or find amusement ) in Zagreb for a few days.

Dan has been awarded a LL place according to his Twitter, not sure who he plays though.

What's the deal with ranking points and Lucky Losers?

He gets 6 points for reaching the FQR if he loses in R1. If he wins rounds in the main draw, he only scores main draw points, the 6 points don't get added on.

Yes, don't know why they do that, seems strange...

I'm pretty sure the 6 points do get added on

I presume it's so that players don't get the extra benefit of having lost already and keeping the points. As effectively it's like playing two tournaments every week otherwise isn't it! The LL that Murray beat at the AO only got the points for reaching that round I am sure.

Seagull is correct. Albert Ramos at Sydney this year is another example. He was a LL and he got 26 points (20+6)

I take it all back, what do these new posters know, eh! Cheers seagull. Let's hope he gets a good draw now. Can't miss two bites at the proverbial cherry can he!

I was sure this only applied to the WTA, but you had me worried so I checked a couple of recent lucky losers who won main draw rounds and it is clear that he would keep the extra 6 points for reaching the FQR if he won a main draw match here.

Edit: LOL I see a couple of others got in with the same info while I was making sure

Anyway, it's good new - 6 more points are worth having at Dan's level.
