What's the deal with ranking points and Lucky Losers?
He gets 6 points for reaching the FQR if he loses in R1. If he wins rounds in the main draw, he only scores main draw points, the 6 points don't get added on.

I presume it's so that players don't get the extra benefit of having lost already and keeping the points. As effectively it's like playing two tournaments every week otherwise isn't it! The LL that Murray beat at the AO only got the points for reaching that round I am sure.

Thats not right - Robert got 196 points at Aus Open (180+16)
I take it all back, what do these new posters know, eh! Cheers seagull. Let's hope he gets a good draw now. Can't miss two bites at the proverbial cherry can he!

I was sure this only applied to the WTA, but you had me worried so I checked a couple of recent lucky losers who won main draw rounds and it is clear that he would keep the extra 6 points for reaching the FQR if he won a main draw match here.
Edit: LOL I see a couple of others got in with the same info while I was making sure
Anyway, it's good new - 6 more points are worth having at Dan's level.
