I don't want to wish injury on any player, but. . .
if a player is particularly tired or carrying a slight injury after a long weekend of Davis Cup tennis you would advise them to think carefully before playing this week.

Both Haas and Kohlschreiber picked up injuries in the Germans Davis Cup win this weekend. German team had to forfeit the reverse singles because neither could go - you'd think there is a chance that one or both might not make it ???
Would Evans have known beforehand - may account for perceived lacklustre performance ??

Haas and Kohlschreiber both have 1st round byes so won't have to play until Thursday. They may feel sufficiently recovered by then. What is the deadline for withdrawing hurt in these circumstances?

Just before they are due on court to play their matches. However I can't see Evo hanging round in Zagreb till Thursday.
