Well, only if he won those 6 sets consecutively in this tournament.
Worth nothing that Dan's qualifying conqueror Bjorn Phau has just gone 3-0 up in the 3rd agaisnt Youzhny. Maybe Dan wasn't playing that badly in their FQR match after all.

Ah. Mmmm. I think this might be the end of the line - but a magnificent week nontheless. 51points?
I think a profitable week is more apt than magnificent. So far Dan has only won matches where he was either expected to win or at least to be very competitive.
I'll refrain from making any quips about Evo spotting the poster after the 1st set today
(joking, obviously - not least because he makes it pretty clear he's happily attached at the moment - but seriously, sexism alive and well in south-eastern Europe by the looks of it - it'd be interesting to see the reaction if Birmingham WTA advertised its equivalent that way LOL)

Really good to see Dan take such advantage of this week's turn of events.
Quite a lot has been said negatively re Evo recently, and I admit to being part of that, but he's clearly not been totally neglecting his tennis, and that's a good recovery today and very decent looking win.
Evo finally makes it onto Centre on tomorrow's OoP - he is 3rd on court, with match 1 starting at noon local and match 2 not before 2.30 pm local. Given the 2.5 hour gap, the 2nd match should start on time, with Dan getting on sometime after 3 pm our time.
Being on Centre means it should be streamed.

You certainly can't deny that Dan keeps us all entertained, be it with his somewhat unpredictable behaviour off court or (thankfully in this instance) his ability shining through on the court. I can't see him going any further this week but I never dreamed he'd get past Nishikori at the US, so you just never know!
I see Youzhny didn't complete a game in his doubles match, so perhaps carrying an injury in the loss against Phau. But it still looks as if Dan had a tough FQR draw and it's great to see him take full advantage of his LL spot.
Comment in another place from someone who was present
evans was schooling berrer in the second set. it was painful to watch if you are berrer fan. in the third set despite tie break it was just matter of technique for evans. he was simply better today. he can hit winners from both wings and it is very hard to read his forehand. berrer could not do nothing here. he was unable to hit winner. once evans figured out it was obvious he will take it.
Was just reading through the thread, knew he would break immediately in the second set after the shocking first set, his matches so often follow that pattern.
