That's a strong line up by our girls in a grade 2. Interested in the progress of Georgina and Jasmine.

Good to see Gabby snd Maia in action and winning here. The GB girls year ahead and year behind have been threatening to take any limelight away from the 98 girls ( Gabbi, Maia, Jazzi ) so would be good to see them having a really good 2014 ( as with all the other year groups too of course :) )

3 out of 3 can't be bad smile  A great day for the Turati twins as well, who ousted the top 2 seeds (the no. 1 seed is top 30)

Maia Lumsden (GBR) d. (WC) Chiraz Bechri (TUN) 6-2 6-4
(7) Gabriella Taylor (GBR) d. Petia Arshinkova (BUL) 6-2 6-3

R2

Ines Abbou (ALG) v Jasmine Asghar (GBR)
Silvia Chinellato (ITA) v Maia Lumsden (GBR)
(7) Gabriella Taylor (GBR) v (Q) Anna Turati (ITA)

Although Maia became the Italian's second British scalp the prospect of an all British final remains. Gabi wasted no time disposing of one of the twins, but the other is still a threat. There's British interest in both doubles semis (Maia/Gabi in one and Emily in the other)

QF

Jasmine Asghar (GBR) d. Ines Abbou (ALG) 7-5 6-3
Silvia Chinellato (ITA) d. Maia Lumsden (GBR) 6-4 6-3
(7) Gabriella Taylor (GBR) d. (Q) Anna Turati (ITA) 6-0 6-0

SF

Bianca Turati (ITA) v Jasmine Asghar (GBR)
Silvia Chinellato (ITA) v (7) Gabriella Taylor (GBR)

David - you seem to have your rounds incorrectly titled. Both girls are in the SF.

In fact looking at Jasmine's junior record it is actually quite disappointing and this is her best result by a mile at this level, especially given she has ranking points on the

senior tour.

Both girls should jump significantly up the junior rankings on the back of this.

Both singles semis are scheduled for tomorrow lunchtime, so presumably rain today. Emily and partner gave a walkover to the twins

It looks like Gabi beat Jasmine in the final.

Playing two matches today they abbreviated to short sets with great result as Paul indicates - Gabi's first title above G4 and Jasmine's first G2 final

(7) Gabriella Taylor (GBR) d. Silvia Chinellato (ITA) 5-3 5-4(7)

F

(7) Gabriella Taylor (GBR) d. Jasmine Asghar (GBR) 2-4 5-4(4) 4-1
