4pts from 3 weeks is not what the doctor ordered, especially when this was supposedly the easier option.

Thought Willis might have a bit more to his game than from what I saw, although it looked like it might be windy with the occasional slice forehand required

Willis has had a new training regime and new coach who he may be working with to change his game a bit. This could mean some bum periods while he adapts.. Most positive spin I can put on it!
Still, would be good to develop his game rather than chasing points - would like to see him playing likes of Delic every game to really push his ability forward.
He was competitive. Got to keep positive.

Very nice stream (as usual) on e-tennis - and the boys are doing well 5-2*

Three service winners from Lewis and an easy point makes set 6-3

A break up in the second too.

Never seen the lads play doubles - interesting they both take the backhand side . . .

Lewis & Marcus capture their second doubles crown in Israel with an excellent straight-sets win over the top seeds & avenge their defeat last week at the hands of Weintraub & his Taiwanese partner:

Final:  (2) Lewis Burton & Marcus Willis CR 595 (293+302) defeated (1) Claudio Grassi & Amir Weintraub (ITA/ISR) CR 556 (141+415) by 3 & 5  biggrin   s

Another doubles title is nice but it doesn't really compensate for the lack of singles points on this trip.

Agreed. However, a bit of a milestone for Lewis - it's his 20th Futures doubles title (8 of them with Marcus)
