That's really hard on Mr Hoyt - who one hopes will recover well and soon.
Yes. If reads this, best wishes for a speedy recovery. All the best. (NB and, in passing, same to Alex Ward, Harry - and all the other players who are suffering some nasty injury).
Now that's interesting! Can't imagine much more different (at least to people looking from a distance) personalities than Mr Marray and Mr Tursunov, but they could be a formidable combination ... especially if they were to play in the grass court season.
I thought Jonny was in bed with Paul this season?
Their combined ranking wouldn't get them into this event.
He's doing what most doubles players do if they want to try to pick up big points at an event that they can't get into with their current partner. If I remember correctly, last year, Treat Huey and Dom Inglot split up a few times for the same reason. It doesn't mean you're switching permanent partners, just trying to get up your ranking so that you (and your partner) can get into more tournaments.
Marray's ranking is 43, but he's going to lose 45 points from Montpellier and he's defending 90 points at Rotterdam. Hanley's is 81; he's defended his Montpellier points and doesn't have any to defend before Memphis. If Marray didn't play Rotterdam and so lost his points, it would do neither of them any good. If Marray and Tursunov gain points in Rotterdam, everyone benefits.
That said, on Tursunov's side, he has often been playing with Nieminen, who's playing this week with Kontinen. That's more likely (given the fact that it makes an all-Finn pairing) to be something which if it works out could become a more frequent pairing. So Tursunov, who is sporadic in his doubles efforts, may be looking for an occasional-regular partner (if that makes any sense).

Cheers, that makes more sense now. Johnny didn't seem to have that 'sleep around' mentality, so I was kinda suprised. I wasn't aware that Mr Inglot and Mr Huey had done the same thing. they seem to have been together for years now

Does Ross playing with Galung come under this too? Does anyone know why he's not playing with Colin? Or indeed if Colin is playing anywhere this week.
