RE: Week 4 - ITF ($25K) - Sunderland, UK (Hard)

Savinykh recovered from a set down to Voracova to win 7-5 in the 3rd, so:

L16: Jade Windley WR 303 v Valeria Savinykh (RUS) WR 229 (CH 99 in 2012)
L16: Tara Moore WR 212 v Pemra Özgen (TUR) WR 224 (CH 209 in Sep)

H2H 1-1 - Tara won 2 & 4 at Felixstowe in 2008 but Özgen edged her 12-10 in a final set tiebreak in the Woking final last year

Obviously a shame that Katy, Manisha and Johanna all had problems in their singles matches and had to pull out of the doubles as well.

Three w/o s in the doubles today (manisha, JoKo and Katy D being the injured parties I'm guessing).

But Jade and her partner, who won their first round today, have also now pulled out of the QF - no idea why.

Jade maybe protecting a back problem that she has, so possibly her decision, otherwise no ideas.

Katy D wasn't on the premises today, so she clearly had pulled out as soon as she lost her singles.

Jade: "new one today we won our doubs match look online later my partner has withdrawn and not told me haha #fantastic"

no

Anyway, the good news is it's not because Jade herself picked up an injury

Jade told me that it was frustrating not having a regular doubles partner, and this is a prime example of why you need trust.

She's counting down the days until Sam is ready to return to action, and that should be quite shortly by all accounts.

That's great news - about Sam, that is. Thanks for letting us know.
