I haven't seen Harry play, but hoping to get down to Wirral qualis where he is likely to play and assess his potential.

A truly good serve - a real flat bomb. Well above the normal standard for futures players. Big forehand too, although IMO a bit of an exaggerated take back, which could lose him time against better players. Likes to approach the net and volleys well. So top marks for strokes, but a slightly more iffy score for shot selection, tactics. Presumably this is the area new coach is working on. If he improves this, I could see him going deep in futures quite quickly.
Probably just about saw most of Harry's match, I don't know if anyone that follows me on twitter, gained anything from my courtside tweets on the match. Josh tweeted me and asked if I would give him some background other than just the livescores, so I tried to do an inrunning commentary. It certainly confused Liz Curran who thought I was following a match at the Oz open ;).
Anyway the last two games had all the drama and then some. Harry was 5-4 up but the other guy was serving. We had 5 set points for Harry, some brilliant tennis, and only one real shot that Harry would like back. The standard of the tennis in that game was unreal compared to the rest of the match, and the rest of the match wasn't bad by any means. Then the penultimate game included an atrocious call by the umpire which went against Harry, Harry then blew his top, somewhat understandably, and then lost the next point and the match. Harry's game is based around a big lefty serve and a very good forehand. His one handed backhand is still a WIP, but is much better than it was. He likes to serve and volley( good tactics from coach Josh).
Can't really comment on Ed's loss, as I didn't see enough, but he was playing against the brother of a former junior phenom who has had horrific injury problems.
Coxy did enough, he's probably not in his best form, but he's winning and that's the main thing.
Ricey played very well, but again I didn't see much of his match.
Smethy has made a big jump from 12 months ago, his forehand is now developing into a huge weapon, and his preseason went very very well. Apparently his final last week was of the highest quality, so all positives there.
Grigelis injured himself in the doubles last night and so had to withdraw.

Great round-up Phil, only found your tweets towards the end of the day (thanks again Wolf). Really pleased to hear that Dan S is impressing - he's high in my top 10 list as a bit of a wildcard! Not that that's the most important reason that I'm pleased, of course.
Just noticed that Dave and Sean snuck the MTB 11-9 - they do like playing a bit close to the wire sometimes.
I thought I'd share this, most embarrassing part of the day for yours truly was when I thought I'd spotted Pauffers sitting down watching Ed's match. I tapped him on his left shoulder, but when he turned around, it wasn't Neil, it was Ed's brother ! Thankfully he took it in good spirits.
