I haven't seen Harry play, but hoping to get down to Wirral qualis where he is likely to play and assess his potential.

Haven't seen Harry play for quite a while. What I remember of him is his serve, but I'd class all other aspects of his game as a work in progress. It will be good to hear how he is playing. Look forward to your assessment paulisi, that is unless Harry gets a WC into MD which might be a possibility, especially as he is a local player for the wirral.
The top half of R1 is all finished now, so a quick summary:
L32: (1) Dan Cox WR 249 beat (LL) Myles Orton WR 1148 by 4-6 7-6(6) 6-2 L32: (Q) Harry Meehan WR 1238 beat James Marsalek WR 612 by 6-1 6-7(5) 7-6(3) L32: (Q) Richard Bloomfield WR 879 lost to (6) Riccardo Bellotti (ITA) WR 322 (CH 227 in Jul) by 2-6 7-5 6-3 L32: (4) Ed Corrie WR 297 beat (WC) Josh Ward-Hibbert WR 692 by 4 & 2 L32: Tom Farquharson WR 492 beat (WC) George Morgan WR 946 by 2 & 3 L32: (5) Dave Rice WR 321 beat (Q) Daniel Glancy (IRL) WR 720 (CH 718 in Oct) by 4 & 5 (bottom half) L32: (8) Ashley Hewitt WR 419 lost to (Q) Matthias Wunner (GER) WR 776 (CH 672 in May) by 7-6(5) 6-4
L16: (1) Dan Cox WR 249 v Enzo Couacaud (FRA) WR 489 (CH 459 in Sep) L16: (Q) Harry Meehan WR 1238 v (6) Riccardo Bellotti (ITA) WR 322 (CH 227 in Jul) L16: (4) Ed Corrie WR 297 v Micke Kontinen (FIN) WR 461 (CH 460 in Nov) L16: (5) Dave Rice WR 321 v Tom Farquharson WR 492 - H2H 1-0, 5 & 3, Sheffield last year
Ashley only took 3 games off Wunner in juniors a few years back so that match has 'previous' as it were.
Interesting to see Harry, Ed and Tom all avenge relatively recent straight sets losses to the same opponents late last year.

Neil ended up losing the 1st set tiebreak and has just lost the 2nd too.
A missed chance for Clay (not often a qualifier outside the top 2000 gets a lower-ranked qualifier in R1), who went out in 3.
Richard keeps getting points taken away from him (at least, livescores has reversed points he has "won" in each of the last 2 games) but is now 6-5* up in the 3rd against Olin.

We should get a finalist from the top half.
Will anyone stop Grigelis? He has bashed another Brit. Hope Dan S can turn the tables, assuming he beats Richard Gabb
At least the Brits can get the better of Grigelis in the doubles...

Very good win for Meehan! Interesting tweet from Goodall's coaching page saying that they want to be at the stage where he is winning these events rather than just making 2nd rounds. Also mentions "best serve in the country" which is quite an interesting topic and could well be true... and in that case, scheduling will be very important in trying to keep him indoors as much as possible
Clear that Josh has a lot of belief Harry can progress pretty far in the game, would like to hear some ranking targets for 2014, I think top 500 by the end of the year is very possible with the very significant effect Josh has had so far
Come on Meehan!
That does seem like a fairly bold statement from Josh. I know Harry had a few decent results to the tail end of last season, but to be winning futures already would be some improvement! But if that is seriously where they feel they're heading then that it is certainly good news, not just for Harry, but also for Josh as a 'rookie' coach. Here's hoping the team can manufacture an upset tomorrow and keep that dream of a title alive.
