Booty & Klaasen really seem to be gelling as a team & will be no pushovers:

R3:  Eric Butorac & Raven Klaasen (USA/RSA) CR 93 (48+45) defeated Bob Bryan & Mike Bryan WR 1 by 7-6(9) 6-4

*****

QF:  Eric Butorac & Raven Klaasen (USA/RSA) CR 93 (48+45) vs (12) Dom Inglot & Treat Huey (PHI) CR 50 (22+28)

And the dark horses in that top half of the draw are the Aussie WCs, Alex Bolt & Andrew Whittington, who have capitalised well on a huge slice of good luck in the first round, where they defeated Raonic & Pospisil by 1-2 retired, taking out the third seeds, Marrero & Verdasco, in straight sets in the next & Pablo Carreño/GGL in three in the third.  Things may well go pear-shaped in the QF, as they face Nestor & Zimonjic  (8), but I wouldn't bet on it...

2-1* in the 1st set

Dom is trying to be the 1st Brit to make the men's doubles semis here since Jeremy Bates managed it with Kelly Jones (USA) in 1991. Bates is also the last Brit to make the men's doubles final - he and Peter Lundgren were runners up in 1988.

... but a strong return gets the 4th and they take the tiebreak 8-6 - it's going to a decider.

Treat survives a long service game and now they have 0-30 on Booty's serve

Make that 0-40!

All 3 bps are saved then Butorac has a game point ... also saved.

4th bp. Also saved after a long rally which has them all dashing all over the court.
