Schedule now out, and Messrs Fleming and Hutchins are first on Show Court 2 - AO has obviously perceived that they are a "story" (and their opponents don't hurt). If Messrs Hanley and Marray get through, they are last on Show Court 2 (Organisers can't lose with that one; one way you get the Bryans, the other way you get the Aussie)
Messrs Murray and Peers are 2nd on Court 7; Mr Murray's mixed doubles are last on Court 13. (Because, since the poor fellow had heat stroke, the logical thing is to give him the maximum number of matches as quickly as possible)
Messrs Inglot and Huey are 2nd on Court 15.
Apart from Mr Murray(?!), none of the GB men in a mixed doubles match appears (though my glance was cursory) to be playing on Saturday.
Possibly a stupid question... but are the BBC even showing coverage of the Open? I can't find anything on the BBC
Yep - the usual:
There will be live coverage of one of the men's Australian Open semi-finals, plus coverage of both the men's and women's finals, across BBC television, radio, online, mobile, the BBC Sport app and Connected TV.
But don't expect any coverage of the doubles - unless, perhaps, Colin & Ross, Jamie & John or Dom & TCH somehow make the final. Then, I suppose, it's conceivable that "Aunty" will make an effort to screen it. We can but live in hope...
BBC, of course, terminated its live text coverage when Djokovic/Istomin (a thrilling match, no doubt) finished ... no continuation for GB pair playing Bryans on Hisense?
Bryans at the Australian Open is about a rough a second outing as a new partnership could get. Hope they'll actually be encouraged by their showing ... and given that Mr Marray at least had nothing to defend, they can no go upwards and onwards.
