Dan is now up to virtual GB no. 8 at the end of the AO (from 11), having now overtaken Oli, Brydan and Marcus this week.

How many Brits has Grigelis bashed on the trot now?

Sorry about Mr Corrie, but well done to Mr Smethurst. Picking up where he left off in emphatic fashion.

However many it is, let us hope the streak ends here.

Your list of recent Brit bashes in the UK is complete but he also beat Neil Pauffley in Opava in November, making the streak 9.

Before he started this streak, he had lost 4 in a row to Brits - Jamie Baker in 2010, Chris Eaton in 2011, Ashley Hewitt and Tom Farquharson in October 2012

Worth noting that while Grigelis may be on a 9-match Brit-bashing streak, Dan has won 9 of his last 10 matches (from the start of Champaign qualifying), or 13 of his last 14 if you count last week's British Tour event too, so his confidence ought to be pretty high

It's great to see his resurgence straddling the off-season (not that he got much of an off-season!)

Dan just had 0-40 on the Lithuanian's serve, but sadly lost the next 5 points - he's now 1/6 on bps 5-7 *2-2
