Dan if he is playing anywhere near his best should win. Ed is probably too consistent for Ashley and I think George pull off another surprise. George is definitely capable of a big jump up the rankings.
Well, both Ivanov and Authom had a MAJOR struggle to win their first matches and both had pretty tight scores in the second too so there's a good chance for the Dan and George (although both of them had very close first matches too). Does this just show that it's all very tight, especially at the start of the year?
Some nice results there. Just out of interest, has anyone noticed the very odd German tournament this week? It includes Michael Lammer, Evgeny Korolev, Karol Beck, Bastian Knittel, Gilles Muller, and Vladimir Ignatik among others. I know they're not at the height of their powers (and a few have already lost), but I can't recall seeing a Futures tournament that involved so many former ATP or Challenger Tour players.
